A festival for music lovers…that is, those that love Richard Wagner’s work.  It will take place in the Bavarian city of Bayreuth as it has every year since 1876 with the exception of a couple of time outs for wars.   July 25 – 28.  August 2006.  On-line tickets if still available will not be cheap, especially for “Der Fliegende Hollander” (The Flying Dutchman).  Also presented is “Der Ring des Niebelunger”.  Try your luck on  www.bayreuther-festspiele.de/     You’ll also need to dust off your German.
